Creative Commons LicenceThe purpose of this website is to illuminate the five human values (which are vedic in origin) as depicted by the activities of the characters in the works of Lindsey Davis, and by the themes and issues contained therein. At all times and in all places, the moral rights of Lindsey Davis as author of these novels is specifically asserted. However, Human Values are vedic in origin. The Vedas have no author, and are smriti, that is, "heard". Thus the transmission of the Veda's has been principally oral and upon ancient palm leaves. The content of the Vedas are for all humanity, as they describe the highest essences, feelings, thoughts and actions that humans may embrace, exhibit and undertake. As told above, the purpose of this website is to reflect and illuminate where human values are present or not present in human activity, as depicted by Lindsey Davis in her novels.
