Aeroplane Jelly Train

Aeroplane Jelly is very famous in Australia, and in our mythical land of Lithgovia. Pineapple Jelly is the staple food of the Lithgovian Dominon of Centralia. In fact, so much Pineapple Jelly is consumed that it is made in wheelie bins.

The Greater Lithgoiva Railway has an Aeroplane Jelly Train. Here, we will show you genesis of the Pineapple Jelly Train from Centralia, and show you some of the Aeroplane Jelly Locomotives and freight vehicles.

Locomotives
Clyde-GM (EMD)

Aeroplane Jelly Train with EMD loco on the point

The Pineapple Jelly train first appeared in Lithgovia with a pointy nose locomotive, this being a Clyde ML 1 locomotive in Aeroplane Jelly paint scheme with Pineapple Jelly packets. This raised consternation and furore as Slab End (or Hostler's end, or No 2 End) was the normal means of operation of locomotives in Lithgovia. That this terminology is somewhat reminiscent of Lithgovia Bitter has nothing to do with the point. The POINT is, my dear reader, that a pointy ended locomotive was observed leading a train in Lithgovia; so there.

Locomotives
Slab End

Aeroplane Jelly Loco, Alco version, runniong Slab End first

Slab End running is the preferred means of leading trains in Lithgovia. Indeed, some assert this is the normal means of safeworking in Lithgovia as the staff exchanger are immediately accessible. This is good for checking staffs and finding out quickly if Sir Big Lens of the Distant (Signal) North has handed you the right staff or not.

Resolution of Running Order

Comparison of Pineapple Jelly Engines

Due the consternation with Pointy Locomotives and Slab End locomotives, it was decided to resolve the matter and examine the footplate, and decide the Running order of the Lithgovian Pineapple Jelly services to Centralia.

Suitably qualified judges were procured who found that both types of locomotion were meet and fitting for the children of Lithgovia, and therefore, both types of engines would be used.

Pineapple Jelly Consumption

Yellow Wheelie Bin

So much Pineapple Jelly is made in Centralia and Lithgovia in these Yellow wheelie Bins: indeed, we believe that with 0 grams of fat, and only 13.5 calories per serving of Pineapple Jelly, with over 300 kilojoules of energy, this is the perfect food for Lithgovians to get on with and grow up with. Tis a wonderful contribution to Centralia and Lithgovian Cusiine! All Children in Centralia and Lithgovia like Aeroplane Pineapple Jelly!!!

Pineapple Jelly 16,000 gallon tanker

Pineapple Jelly is made in these yellow wheelie bins and then transported to the rail terminals in Centralia and East Lithgovia for transfer into our hygenically clean and dynamically protected transport vee-hickles, the 16,000 gallon tanker. A train can have up to 35 Pineapple Jelly Tankers per trainset as they are cooled and refrigerated by the Head-End-Power from the locomotives. Expanding Operations

Due the increased demand for Jelly Crystals in this the 80th year of production, Greater Lithgovia Railway have had to upgrade its tanker fleet fro the transport of Prepared and Cooled Jelly from 10,000 gallon tankers to 27,000 gallon tankers. Here is a side-by-side comparison between a Pineapple Jelly Tanker and a Berry Blast Tanker:

Changes to Paint Scheme

The Aeroplane Jelly Train has grown rapidly. The Procurator and Builder of Rolling Stock decided to make the trains more recognisable as Aeroplane Jelly Trains. Bertie the Aeroplane was pressed into service ...

The Rolling Stock Adjudicators did decide that the Pointy nosed engine may also be used in the Aeroplane Jelly Operations, so here is our Clyde-GM locomotive in the Aeroplane Jelly Fleet:
